The new patient exam is your introduction to Aspen Dental House and Dr. Whitfield. We are committed to helping our patients achieve the highest level of oral health and esthetics. During your initial exam we will be conducting a thorough examination compiling information from your own goals, your health history, dental history, radiographs, oral cancer screening (Vizilite offered for patient's at high risk for oral cancer), periodontal condition, TMJ function, and other necessary information in helping you achieve excellent oral health.
If you have seen another dentist in the past or have recently had dental x-rays taken within the last 12 months, please let us know before your examination so we can help you request your dental records.
Should you not require more extensive gum treatments, Anne will complete a thorough cleaning and provide any oral hygiene recommendations.
Should you want complimentary bleaching trays fabricated for you, we will take molds of your teeth at this appointment.
After the examination, Dr. Whitfield will go over your treatment options and answer any questions you might have. Once all your questions have been answered, Priscilla will also go over any financial questions you have and help you schedule any necessary appointments.

Appointment Cancellation Policy
The patients of Aspen Dental House are provided the highest level of care and service. The typical patient of Aspen Dental has a very busy schedule and cannot spend time waiting for scheduled appointments. To allow this level of service and to give patients' time to complete treatment at a pace they are comfortable with, we do not double book or overfill our schedule.We, therefore, require at least 48 hours notice prior to canceling. Patients who cancel their appointment without proper notice will be assessed a missed appointment fee to offset the lost production time and estimated amount of time and effort the staff has already spent preparing for the appointment.
We understand that unplanned events occur everyday. Should such an event occur, and a reasonable effort is made to contact our office to explain the situation, no charges will be assessed.
